the rating aren't really on any scales i just put them based on how i feel

Metamorphosis - Franz Kafka

Rating 17

so like lowkey i like the way i interpreted but i actually despise all the academic discourse over this man- like he had daddy issues ok IDC THO? I READ A STORY ABOUT THE ESSENCE OF HUMAN CONNECTION??? also grete wouldn't still love gregor if he was a worm

They Both Die in the End - Adam Silvera

Rating 5

just a note to whomever wrote this book: there is a reason plots exist

the problem is that the plot got dissolved from the start of the book, but because if there's not a plot the book is unreadable, silvera added some kind of plot but the order was all messed up and it ended up being messed up

it would be a cool book if the author understood what he was doing but then the book would not have as a central theme all that (he kinda just made a gay ppl book without wondering if it would come out well

Animal Farm - George Orwell

Rating 14 4/5

like i really liked the way that the story was expressed, and even more so how the evolution is attempted to be passed in front of the reader, like they are actually part of the story, in the sense that they're being deceived too

i mean i'm not sure what im rating this on, so i would say that the interpretation that i see most intriguing is that of manipulation and the importance of something ELSE than pure democracy but yk it's not really that but idk lol
